The Samosas are in India!

Brian and Jen arrived Saturday night with their friends Jes and Hugo and Joylene and Ryan. We were able to spend Sunday touring around South Bombay with them. It’s becoming quite normal to catch up with these two a couple of times a year. It feels so normal to meet up with Brian and Jen–even though the locations are atypical. We just spent time with them in Bangkok.

Here they are carrying the packet of samosas we made sure were in the car waiting for them when they arrived. Suprisingly, their room was great--right on Marine Drive. From the Internet site, we were actually a little worried.

We rented a school van for easy transport around South Bombay. Our mini-van followed with all the purchases.

After so much shopping, we needed a yummy lunch at Leopolds.

This lady with pan stained lips wanted to take a picture with our kids. When they said no, I turned it around and made a picture with her.

After the Gateway, we made our usual cooling/refreshing stop at the Taj.

  1. That pic. of Brian and Jen after the shopping extravaganza is priceless. BK looks like he’s going to blow… knowing that he loves the shopping!

  2. He was a great sport about all the shopping. Kinda reminded me of Kevin–nervous about the $ but just going with it. So fun to notice similarities and family connections. Being with Brian helps me understand Vincent better–they are also quite similar.
