This is the last post about Cairo where we spent the first half of our Spring Break.
Here we are outside the National Egyptian Museum. Inside we saw some amazing treasures: King Tut's tomb and headdress, all the gold treasures that go inside the tomb with him, plus real shriveled up mummies from thousands of years ago! Pretty cool!
This taxi was more concerned about getting a photo with us than the road--was kind of hilarious (and we made it back to the hotel safely!).
We met up with our friends Jim and Rachael Cook--we know them from Venezueal. They had met and married in Egypt 10 years before. They brought us to the night market--which was fab!
Gigi took many, many pictures of the animals in the market. This was Bichu, the dog.
Because we were in an executive room, we were able to partake in the sunset complimentary cocktail hour. The hotel was perfectly set over the Nile. And, it was chilly--as you can see by the coat!
Last but not least--KevStar! (He's so cute!)
