Whenever we go to Rajasthan, we play a little game: we count the animals we’ll see. We can always count on camels and hopefully elephants, monkeys too, maybe a peacock, some pigs, of course we don’t count cows.
Here’s the tally:
Camels–62
Elephants–20
Peacock–1
Donkeys–8
Monkeys–we stopped counting when we saw over 17 in one setting
Horses–11
Cobra–1
Antelope–6
Pigs–11
On our 1 1/2 hour drive to the airport on Monday, we saw 23 camels alone.As we were leaving Amber Fort in Jaipur, we got to see this snake charmer charm his cobra!This isn't the live peacock we saw--this is on an Amber Fort wall. We did see a peacock silhouette on the hillside off in the distance at sunset hour.It's considered lucky to see an elephant in India. We saw 20!

You’re right–we forgot the dogs and crows! Goodness though, there isn’t a high enough number. Oh wait! You’re a math teacher; there is!
